What’s included on a monthly plan

  • Help desk by phone, text or ticket, with someone who knows your setup
  • Windows and Mac updates handled so they don’t interrupt work
  • Monitoring with alerts for failing backups, full drives and security problems
  • Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace admin: new users, passwords, mailboxes, licenses
  • Backup checks and test restores, so you know backups actually work
  • Security basics: multi-factor sign-in, antivirus, admin accounts locked down
  • New hire and departing employee setup, including laptops and accounts
  • We deal with your internet provider, printer company and software vendors
  • A planning check-in so replacements and renewals never surprise you

Three ways to get ongoing support

Monthly plan

One flat monthly bill for support, monitoring and upkeep. Best if technology problems cost you real time or money.

Block hours

A set block of hours each month for priority scheduling. Good for steady project work.

Break-fix

No commitment. Call when something breaks and pay for the time it takes. Good for very small offices.

Not sure which fits? That’s what the free IT consultation is for. See how pricing works.

Is it a fit?

Monthly support makes sense when you have 3 to 50 people, rely on email and shared files all day, and nobody on staff wants to be “the computer person” anymore.

If you’re a one-person shop that calls twice a year, break-fix is probably cheaper, and we’ll tell you so.

What changes the first month

  • Every computer checked and updated
  • Backups tested with a real restore
  • Passwords and admin access cleaned up
  • A short written report of what we found

Questions

How fast do you respond?

Most requests get a response the same business day, and most fixes happen remotely. Urgent problems like email down or a possible hack jump the line.

Is there a long contract?

Talk to us about terms. We’d rather keep you because it works than because you’re locked in.

What about after-hours?

After-hours and weekend work is available. We tell you the rate before we start.

What a normal month on a plan looks like

Most of what a managed IT plan does is quiet. The point is that problems get caught and handled before they turn into a lost afternoon. In a typical month:

  • Your team calls, texts or emails support@evolutionitservice.com when something is off, and the request is tracked as a ticket so nothing gets forgotten. You can see open tickets in the client portal.
  • Updates roll out to Windows and Mac computers on a schedule, and we chase down the ones that fail.
  • Backup jobs are checked, and restores are tested so we know the copies are usable.
  • Alerts for full drives, failing disks, offline equipment or suspicious sign-ins come to us, not to you.
  • New people get a ready laptop and accounts on their first day; people who leave lose access the day they go. Our in-house tool, Helix, keeps Microsoft 365 onboarding and offboarding consistent.
  • When the internet provider, the copier company or a software vendor needs a call, we make it.

Remote support covers most requests. When we need to see your screen, we use Quick Assist through help.evolutionitservice.com. When something physical breaks, our local team comes to you.

How we take over from your current setup

Switching IT support is less disruptive than most owners expect. Here is how onboarding runs:

  1. Day 1: discovery call

We learn how your business works, which software you depend on, what has been frustrating, and any deadlines we need to plan around.

  2. Week 1: audit

We review your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, computers, Wi-Fi, backups and security settings. You get a one-page, plain-English summary of what is fine and what needs fixing.

  3. Week 2: transition

We take over administration, collect passwords and documentation from your previous provider or the person who has been covering IT, and put monitoring in place.

  4. After that: the fix list

Help desk is live from the start. We work through the audit findings in the order you agree to, most important first.

You always own your Microsoft 365 or Google tenant, your domain and your data. They stay in your name, not ours.

More questions about managed IT plans

How is a monthly plan priced?

Plans are a flat monthly fee priced per user per month, so the cost follows the size of your team. We quote after a free consultation, once we know your devices, software and any compliance needs. How our pricing works explains what is in the plan and what gets quoted separately.

What is the difference between a plan and calling when something breaks?

Break-fix pays for problems after they happen. A plan pays for the upkeep that prevents many of them: updates, monitoring, tested backups and security settings, plus help when you need it.

Does a plan include security?

Yes. Multi-factor sign-in, endpoint protection and phishing training are part of every plan. For assessments, policies and incident planning, see our cybersecurity services and cyber insurance readiness pages.

What happens if we decide to leave?

Your accounts, domain and data are already in your name. We hand over documentation and admin access to you or your next provider.

We have an emergency and are not a client. Can you help?

Yes. Text us at (541) 239-3338 and we will tell you what to do next.

Not sure where to start?

Book a free IT consultation. In about 30 minutes we look at your backups, security, email and Wi-Fi, then hand you a one-page, plain-English list of what’s fine and what needs fixing. No obligation.
