Step 1 · Map the office
“Calls at the back desk drop every single afternoon.”
The office manager’s first email to us. Before touching anything, we mapped signal room by room across the suite.
Step 2 · Find the cause
Two access points were fighting over channel 6.
AP-1 in the front office and AP-2 in the hallway shared one channel. Where they overlap, each drowns out the other, right at the back desk.
- Signal at the desk
- Above the noise
Step 3 · Fix it
One move, one channel change.
AP-2 goes into the back office on channel 11, clear of AP-1. Same hardware, one afternoon on site, nothing new to buy.
- Signal at the desk
- Above the noise
Done
“The back desk hasn’t dropped a call since.”
